It was humid tonight which made for a very mellow and laid back distribution.
We had brussel sprouts for the first time this season, an abundance of heirloom tomatoes, heads of garlic, potatoes, wonderfully aromatic basil, beautiful red peppers, mixed greens, leeks, and red beets. Pasta was spinach fettucini and the fruit share tonight was apples, pears, and nectarines.
Unfortunately we ran out of fruit and some people didn’t get their shares but they will be getting extra fruit next week to make up for it.
Thank you to Dr. Jerry Charvin who was on the patio tonight sharing information about the medicinal quality of herbs and spices.
Thank you as well to all the volunteers for your hard work.
And one more big thank you Katie, Hailey, and Belinda for keeping things running tonight.
See you next week,
