Thanks to all the volunteers who pushed on through the mugginess and sweatiness. You guys were awesome!
Thanks are also in order for everyone who contributed to the FFS Pickle-Off. Spicy pickles, sesame pickles, dill, and kim-chi. The variety was quite impressive and delicious.
Hunger Action staffer Laurie Wen was with us tonight talking to members about calling our local elected officials and urging them to reshape the Farm Bill towards a just and sustainable food system.
The vegetables this week were potatoes, sweet onions, yellow and green zucchini, celery, carrots , cucumbers, green peppers, romaine lettuce and cabbage. The fruit share included nectarines, peaches, and plums. Pasta share was whole wheat penne and ricotta ravioli (to make up for our missed pasta last week).
Thanks again to everyone who contributed to make tonight so great!
See you next week,
