We were on the porch of the Grey House again because of predicted rain, but it turned out to be a beautiful evening! It was okay, though, because it gave us an opportunity to improve the set-up for future rainy days–every week, things seem to run more and more smoothly as we get back into the swing of things. I am looking forward to the week when we will be able to spread out a little more in the grass, however.
One of the best parts of my role as a site coordinator is getting to meet our members when they come to volunteer, and last night’s group was fantastic! You were enthusiastic and cheerful–thank you! If anyone is interested in getting more involved by learning the site coordinator role, please come talk to me during distribution and I can tell you more about what’s involved.
Our vegetables were lovely again: napa cabbage, red beets, kale, sugar snap peas, spinach and red leaf lettuce. For the fruit share, there were more strawberries and stunning red beet penne for the pasta share.
See you all next week!
