Autumn’s arrival was loud and clear at last night’s distribution. By 6:30, I was freezing cold while wearing my light-weight coat and long-sleeved dress. Additionally, due to earlier Fall darkness, we had to change around the distribution tables mid-distribution. Volunteers were unable to read the scales in the dark, so weighed food had to move under the porch light. We’re now re-evaluating our future distribution location at the church for the remainder of fall darkness and chilliness! Stay tuned!
This weeks veggies were once again wonderful. We had basil, arugula, green kale, lettuce, green peppers, sweet potatoes, radish, and leeks (my favorite veggie this entire season!)
I hope everybody has a blast on the farm trip Saturday. Takes lots of pictures of the farm for those of us who can’t make it!
