Extra Shares
Our primary partnership is with the Farm at Millers Crossing, who supply a variety of vegetables. For other things you might want (coffee, fruit, eggs, bread, or meat, for example), we work with other farmers to offer shares for additional products. These shares are separate from your basic FFS membership and require a separate sign-up than your regular membership.
Please Contact extrashare@flatbushfarmshare.com for any questions not covered here.

Fruit
Our fruit share is provided by Hepworth Farms, a seventh generation family owned farm in Milton, NY. Each week, the farm will provide a selection of locally grown fruit that is cultivated using practices as close to organic as possible in this region. The fruit will vary with the growing season, but in the past Hepworth Farms has included the following fruit in their farm share: strawberries, cherries, apricots, peaches, plums, nectarines, pears, apples (many different varieties). Your price level for fruit is the same as your price level for veggies. Level 1 EBT payers may pay for this share with EBT weekly. Level 1 and 2 weekly vegetable payers may pay for this share in weekly payments according to your price level. See order form for price levels.
Eggs
Our eggs are provided by Brookside Farm in Argyle, NY. Brookside Farm’s hens are free-range and enjoy a varied diet of bugs, food scraps, and grain from a small farm in Vermont. A full share is one dozen eggs, which costs $4.50 per week (total: $99); a single share is six eggs, which costs $2.25 per week (total: $49.50). Note: cartons are not provided by the farmer. Level 1 EBT payers may pay for this share with EBT weekly. Level 1 and 2 weekly vegetable payers may pay for this share in weekly payments.
Dairy
Our dairy shares are provided by Argyle Cheese Farmer, a 50-cow dairy farm in Argyle, NY. While the milk is not organic, they use no synthetic hormones and grow 100% of their forages fed to the cows. Dairy shares are only offered in one standard size. Level 1 EBT payers may pay for this share with EBT weekly. Level 1 and 2 weekly vegetable payers may pay for this share in weekly payments
Yogurt
A weekly share will be one of the following items: 16 oz. of whole milk yogurt, or; 8 oz. of Greek yogurt, or; 16 oz. of yogurt smoothie. The share costs $3 per week (total: $66).
Cheese
The weekly cheese share alternates between a fresh cheese and a hard aged cheese. Examples of fresh cheese include: Mozzarella, Cheese Curds, Quark (similar to cream cheese) or a cheese spread. Examples of hard cheese include: Caerphilly, Havarti, Mercy (a creamy, sharp cheddar), Grace (an aged Gouda), Revival (cheddar) or Feta. The share costs $5 per week (total: $110).

White – ($264 for one bottle a week for 22 weeks): Think crisp, dry, and refreshing.
Red – ($264 for one bottle a week for 22 weeks): Think ripe, elegant, and food-friendly.
Both – ($440 for TWO bottles a week for 22 weeks): A huge savings.
Coffee
Our coffee share is provided by Farmer to Farmer, a 501(c)3 nonprofit that is committed to developing markets for organic coffee, grown sustainably by farmers in Central America. Farmer to Farmer pays at or above fair trade prices to contribute to the efforts of local people to build a diverse and sustainable economy. The organic whole beans will be delivered five times throughout the CSA season (every five weeks), and are offered in 5-lb. bags only. Members may choose any or all of these five pickup dates to receive coffee. For example, if you go through a pound of coffee a week, we’d suggest ordering a bag for all five deliveries. If you drink half that amount, order only weeks 1, 11, and 21. One-time orders are also welcome.
We will offer members an opportunity to place additional coffee orders before June 22nd. (These late orders will cost an additional $5 per 5-lb. bag.) Contact extrashare@flatbushfarmshare.com by June 22nd to place the additional order.
The 5-lb. bags of French or medium roast beans are $40 ($8/lb.) for regular; and $50 ($10/lb.) for medium roast decaf (Swiss water processed). Coffee shares must be paid for with check upfront.
